Board of Executives

The execute power in the company is held by the chief executive officer. The CEO is appointed and instructed by the Board of Directors.

The President and CEO of Honkarakenne is Mr. Marko Saarelainen.

The CEO is responsible for the practical management and planning of the Group’s business operations. The CEO is responsible for preparing strategically significant measures and implementing the measures decided by the Board. In addition, the CEO ensures that the Group’s corporate governance functions properly and is responsible for ensuring that the company’s accounting is in accordance with the law and that financial management is arranged in a reliable manner. The key employment terms of the CEO are determined in a written service contract, approved by the board that includes the financial benefits.

The CEO is paid fixed monthly salary and merit bonuses according to the financial profit of Honkarakenne Group. In accordance with the rules on the short-term incentive bonus for senior management, the CEO may receive a maximum of 60% of his/her salary as an incentive bonus in the year under review. Honkarakenne Oyj’s CEO chairs the Executive Group, whose members are the directors from different operational departments. The task of the Executive Group is to assist the CEO in the operational management and planning of the Group’s business. The Executive Group convenes at least 12 times a year and holds additional meetings as required.

The directors are paid fixed monthly salary and merit bonuses according to the financial profit of Honkarakenne Group. The Board of Directors approves the Executive Group’s bonus scheme annually.
